Industry formats, with the source in view.
Published platform examples that inform the questions in our OEM directory.
Use market examples as inputs, not guarantees
Public manufacturer literature provides a useful starting point for selecting the format of an OEM inquiry. Ypsomed describes cartridge platforms using 1.5 mL and 3 mL formats, while Owen Mumford describes an autoinjector platform accommodating 1 mL and 2.25 mL prefilled syringes. These are examples of published industry architectures, not a sales ranking and not proof that another supplier can reproduce their performance. Our directory uses such format categories to help buyers state a development target. It also separates manual, automated and connected functions so the scope is understandable. The dimensions, mechanism, intellectual property position and verification evidence of the final project must be reviewed independently. No third-party design, brand affiliation or equivalent clinical performance is claimed. Source documents and their dates should be checked again when the project requirements are finalized.
| Public example | Published format | What buyers should verify |
|---|---|---|
| Ypsomed FixPen | 1.5 mL and 3 mL cartridges | Exact container, fixed dose and configuration scope. |
| Owen Mumford Aidaptus | 1 mL and 2.25 mL prefilled syringes | Selected syringe, fill and platform requirements. |
| Public connected pen platforms | Device-specific logging and communication | Named model, app, supported region and function. |
