Reusable injection pens

Evaluate a durable device body, replaceable cartridge interface and defined mechanical service life.

Define the right configuration

A reusable injection pen retains its device body while a compatible cartridge is replaced according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Reusable does not mean that every cartridge fits or that the device may be shared between patients. The procurement brief should define cartridge dimensions, stopper movement, dose range, dose increment and the intended mechanical lifetime. Treat the cartridge, needle connection and dose mechanism as one system when assessing fit and performance. A nominal volume such as 3 mL is insufficient to establish compatibility. Evaluate how the user recognizes an empty cartridge, resets the mechanism and identifies the correct product. For a development project, request the device lifetime evidence, cleaning instructions and replacement restrictions alongside the commercial proposal. Our inquiry process captures these requirements before a configuration, sample plan or supply commitment is confirmed.
